Success Story: Katrina Adkins

I decided to come to Fitness Layne because after three years of college cafeteria food and taking a medication that resulted in weight gain, I was 25 lbs. heavier than when I graduated from high school.  Since I was no longer playing organized sports and was not disciplined about working out, my level of physical fitness had also declined.

While at Fitness Layne, I began to eat healthier and increased my cardio exercise.  The greatest benefit I received was having a personal trainer, Heather Ramsay, who encouraged me to push myself harder in my workouts and taught me the best way to work out.  While my progress might have been faster if I were more disciplined in my diet and cardio, my goal was to establish a diet and exercise pattern that I would be willing to maintain.  When I return to college in August, I will use what I have learned from my personal trainer to continue my workouts at the athletic facility at school.
